1. Overview
This report is jointly prepared by the Office for Social Responsibility of the China National Textile and Apparel Council and the China Chemical Fibers Association. It discloses the key sustainable development level performance of the Collaboration for Sustainable Development of Viscose (hereinafter referred to as "CV") for the year 2023. The report reviews the efforts made by CV members in the field of sustainable development in alignment with the requirements of the CV Roadmap 2025 in 2023 and looks forward to the future work direction of CV.
2. Reporting Scope and Boundary
CV, established in March 2018, is a public governance institution voluntarily formed by man-made cellulose fiber enterprises, upstream and downstream industry chain enterprises, and associations. By the end of 2023, CV comprised 11 members (2 industry associations and 9 man-made cellulose fiber manufacturers) and 163 downstream enterprises as industry chain members. As the influence of the CV continues to grow, this report focuses primarily on the 11 members, supplemented by data from the viscose fiber industry, trying to provide a more comprehensive overview of the sustainable development status of China's man-made cellulose fiber industry.
